Intern 101: Preparing Future Lawyers for the Professional World

On 14-15 August 2025, the Asian Law Students’ Association (ALSA) Thailand organized INTERN 101, a two-day virtual program designed to equip law students with the knowledge, skills, and exposure necessary for excelling in internships and future careers in law.

A Holistic Learning Experience

Across two intensive days, participants joined a wide range of sessions that combined practical training, career insights, and exposure to specialized fields of law. Highlights included:

• Resume Sharing Session – Insights, tips, and examples from interns on how to craft an effective resume for the legal profession.

• Career Journeys in Law – Firsthand accounts from practitioners on the realities of legal practice, challenges faced, and lessons learned.

• Exploring Practice Groups – Leading firms and experts introduced students to diverse areas of practice such as Tax, IP, In-house Counsel, Dispute Resolution, Corporate M&A, Capital Markets, and Banking & Finance.

This blend of workshops, discussions, and expert-led sessions allowed students to gain both technical skills and an informed perspective on career opportunities in law.
